cudgen surf life saving club

connecting the club, surf and the community

Currently submitted for approval

Location: Kingscliff, NSW

Designed to pay homage to the surf carnival tents that dot the beaches all along the coastlines of Australia. Their peaked, multicolor forms, pyramidal forms defined beneath a linear horizontal roof representing the horizon line of the ocean. This project purposefully connects the ocean to the urban within its context and celebrates the community services inside by connecting the commercial venture and those community services contained within the modern surf club in Australia.
