This project was to design a new large residential home in inner city Brisbane for a builder we work with on an ongoing basis.
The site in inner city Brisbane is surrounded by 5 neighbours. With so much possibility for overlooking, it was critical that the home was designed to eliminate any privacy issues, and take advantage of elevated views over the surrounding suburbs.
A long linear plan was used to allow sunlight into all living and sleeping spaces during the colder months, however with the long side of the building facing north, the high angle summer sun is omitted from the home during the hotter months.
