builders
Building contractors are without doubt the most important part of the construction team.
These days, a good builder needs to know more than how to put a wall frame together or pour a concrete slab. They require a detailed knowledge of a host of complex areas including local council and federal authority codes and regulations, workplace health and safety issues, materials knowledge, sub-contractor and contractual understanding, as well as the more 'standard' construction and engineering requirements.
In our book, they must also be an excellent communicator - after all, the complex nature of the building process - with all the up, downs and sideways movement during a project - requires that open, clear and timely communication from the builder to you the client, and us the Architect, happens as a matter of course.
In this section we have provided a broad outline of the Builders we work with regularly due to their excellence in the field.
