There are a number of people who are required to work on your project in order to satisfy not only local council laws, but also federal regulations concerned with building rules, safety, and other compliance issues.

Generally these consultants are commissioned directly by the client, and are accountable to them for the duration of the project and into any warranty period that applies to the project.

Typically the main consultants used in a project are a Town Planner, Building Certifier, Energy Rating consultant, Structural Engineer, and Surveyor. There are also projects which require the services of a Landscape Architect, AV consultant, hydraulic engineer, fire consultant, or perhaps even a lighting designer.
